Exhibition of the Artists of the Nordic Analog Network

CYAN studio in collaboration with the Nordic Analog Network is organizing the exhibition “Resident Landscape” at the Old Munch Arthall in November-December2025.
Showing artist involved with the Networks activities the last 3 years this exhibition will give an overview of current trends and themes that analog photoartists are currently working with.


This will be an exhibition showcasing the works of the artists who took part in the Darkroom Exchange and the organizing artists running the darkrooms.

As part of the exhibition there will be panel talks and artist presentations happening at the Munch Arthall and there will be workshops in analog photographic processes run by the exhibiting artists at the CYAN darkroom.

Panel Talk: Process & Place - ThePersonal Landscape in Analog Practice
Join us for a conversation with five of theexhibiting artists as they explore the intersection of process-driven practice,analog techniques, and personal vision in contemporary landscape photography.This panel will delve into how traditional methods like film and darkroom workshape not only the final image but the artist’s relationship to the landscapeitself—redefining both subject and process in a digital age.

Panel Talk: Sustainable Photography – a newphotographic practice
The Networks´s Open Call for artistsresidencies will for 2026-27 have the theme of sustainable photography. This isa type of analog photographic practice that is spreading in Europe and we willhelp bring to the Nordic region. Join us for a conversation with a analogpractitioners who are exploring these ideas and how they shape both theirapproach and the final artworks, in opposition to the standards of a digitalworkflow.

Nordic Analog Network is a collaboration between community darkrooms in the Nordic countries, organized by CYAN studio in partnership with the Finnish Darkroom Association.
The network helps photographers and darkroom groups to share their experiences with analog photography and create contacts and networking between analog photo artists.

The Darkroom Exchange is the artist residency program organized by the Nordic Analog Network. In 2022-2024 a total of 26 artists were invited to take part in individual artists residencies at 10 different darkrooms all over the Nordic countries.



The Nordic Analog Network and The Darkroom Exchange is organized with generous support from the Nordic Culture Point and Arts and Culture Norway, Nordisk Kulturfond and Norwegian Finnish Culturefund.

The exhibition has received support from Norsk Fotografisk Fond , Oslo Kulturetaten and Fondet for dansk-norsk samarbeid.
